BOX PACKAGE DESIGN
This is a package design project for a tea box. The first step was to come up with a brand, and for this I chose to work on an Indian exotic tea variety from the crown of India, Kashmir. This tea is called Kahwah in native language and is a herbal mixture that is popular amongst Kashmiris. The logo of the brand is inspired by the Kashmiri Stag that is a strong symbol of the state. Also, the orange and gree color used predominantly in the logo represents Saffron - a key component of the Kahwah and the tea leaves respectively.
The next phase was the creation of a dieline of all panels of the box (please see below) and then I worked on each panel successively. I also created a signature pattern inspired by floral designs often used in shawls in Kashmir. One of the major learnings was to understand the important details that need to be included in a package design, especially for food products, keeping in mind how the user is going to interact with this product when kept on a shelf.
